How to avoid getting cavities during the NHL’s Dental Emergency
The National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that all teams will have to have a team dentist immediately upon arrival at the rink.
“Dental emergencies have been a growing concern in the United States and throughout the world, and it is vital for our players and staff to have an experienced dental team in the hospital, on the field and in the building,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said.
“With that in mind, the NHL has asked all teams to immediately establish a dental team, which will ensure our players have a safe and sound dental procedure at every level of play.”
The NHL also announced that all team practices and games will be suspended indefinitely as a result of the situation.
“This is a critical time for us as a league, as well as for our fans, as we work to ensure our game and our fans are safe,” Bettman added.
“We want our players, coaches and fans to feel confident about their physical and mental health.
The NHL will not tolerate this situation, and we are committed to doing everything we can to help our players get through this difficult time.”
